Brian Greene to Host Inaugural Global Space Awards in London 2025

Posted on October 19, 2025 By admin

The cosmos is about to shine under the spotlight, as the first-ever Global Space Awards 2025 will debut in London with acclaimed physicist and author Brian Greene as host.

The prestigious event, set for December 5, 2025, at the Natural History Museum, marks a groundbreaking moment — the first international gala dedicated to honoring excellence in the global space industry. The awards will recognize achievements across eight categories, from innovation breakthroughs and science achievements to sustainability and space investment. Nominations remain open until October 20, 2025, with finalists chosen by leading figures in the space field.

“Until now, there’s been no global platform to celebrate such accomplishments,” organizers said. “The Global Space Awards were designed to fill that gap — spotlighting technologies and visionaries redefining space exploration.”

The awards emphasize innovation, sustainability, and investment within the ever-growing space economy. Recognition spans various fields, including Innovation Breakthrough, Science Breakthrough, Sustainability for Space, Partnership of the Year, and Space Investor of the Year.

Brian Greene, professor of physics and mathematics at Columbia University and co-founder of the World Science Festival, is renowned for making complex scientific ideas accessible through works like The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos. His presence as host symbolizes the event’s mission to merge scientific depth with public inspiration.

“We’re thrilled to have Brian leading this milestone event,” said Sanjeev Gordhan, committee member of the Global Space Awards. “He bridges advanced science with storytelling that connects with audiences worldwide — making him the perfect ambassador for this event.”

Alongside Gordhan, fellow committee members Anna Hazlett, Andrew Robb, and Hidetaka Aoki will select the finalists across all categories.

Set in the Natural History Museum’s grand hall, a site that celebrates the origins of life and the cosmos, the ceremony aims to unite leaders from government, private industry, and academia. As nations and corporations race to explore the Moon and beyond, the Global Space Awards 2025 will stand as both a celebration and catalyst — showcasing how space innovation drives a sustainable and interconnected future for humanity.
